The Report – Reports are confidential & submitted for your use as you see fit.  Suitability for your intended purpose is your responsibility.  You should contact all end-users of the report in advance so you know they will accept the service you are requesting. A detailed report including digital photography is sent to Client.  We will release copies of your report as you authorize below.  Note: A small fee ($15-dollars) may apply in limited cases.

Making Payment - You can drop a check in the mail now, or we can call you when we finish inspecting your boat.  (Substantial Completion)  We need to receive full payment before releasing the final report unless special arrangements are made.  

Prepurchase Surveys - A $125 dollar deposit is required for Prepurchase Surveys.  You may be assessed this as a fee if circumstances outside our control cause the survey to be extended, cancelled or abandoned.  (I.e. Follow-up inspection trips, vessel unsafe to occupy, survey cancelled closer than 48-hours to Survey Date, cannot gain access to vessel, wrong Location, your Contact Person unavailable, etc.)

Haul Out/Mechanical Inspections/Fluids Analysis – If you want the boat inspected out of the water we will need you to make the arrangements for haul out.  (We can recommend someone if requested.)  Also, no machinery testing, sea trial, or fluid sampling or related analysis is included in the standard survey unless expressly requested and terms stated herein or by addendum.

SCOPE of Work: We are committed to providing thorough and accurate surveys that meet or exceed industry standards. Mandatory & voluntary standards set forth by the State Codes, Code of Federal Regulations, American Boat and Yacht Council®, National Fire Protection Association® are referenced in your survey.  A marine survey is limited by its very nature, the time, accessibility & circumstances. The report represents the condition & valuation of the vessel on the date of survey only; it is not a guarantee or warranty.  We can only inspect reasonably accessible areas of the vessel.  The marine survey is only a professional opinion.  Issues of negligence or liability do not apply to our service.  We do not carry Errors & Omissions Insurance.  If, there is any material error or dissatisfaction with the services provided, it is understood that the sole remedy to you will be the return of the fee paid for this survey.  Under no circumstances will the compensation exceed the fee paid for the survey. The undersigned surveyor reserves the right to amend or add to the final survey report when additional pertinent information becomes necessary or available.  Should any part of this agreement be found unlawful or otherwise unenforceable, all remaining elements shall remain intact and binding.
