What To Expect

We Are Committed To Your Safety & Satisfaction!

You love boating.  We live boating!  We know that a safe vessel results in a good boating experience.  No matter if your vessel is a PWC or 75-foot luxury yacht, our service is designed to detect deficiencies that could make it sink, burn or otherwise ruin your day.

We will continually consult with you until your project is complete and you are satisfied.  You will become more than our customer.  We will partner with you in reaching your goal!

Typical Marine Survey Process

  • Call Us - Now that you have read about us, let's talk and make sure we know what to expect from each other.
  • Work Agreement - We need your written permission to board and inspect your vessel.  Our discussion will be reduced to a Work Agreement.
  • Substantial Completion & Payment - We will arrive on the date & time you specify.  Your vessel will be photographed and inspected.  (Typical inspection requires three to seven hours onboard.)  We will call you again when our field work is complete.  You will be asked to mail full payment at that time.
  • The Report of Marine Survey - Research and writing requires another four to nine hours in the office.  We will email you a scanned PDF copy of your report.  An embossed 1st-quality original of the report will be mailed USPS.

Making Payment & Information Privacy

Payment - When you retain the services of a Marine Surveyor, you are paying for professional opinions, analysis and an extensively researched current market value.  A marine survey is not a warranty or guarantee of the vessel's seaworthiness.  It is an extensively researched professional opinion.  The outcome of the survey is not always what the client wants to hear.  However, it is an objective professional opinion of the vessel's condition & value.  Therefore, we ask that each client please make payment by check or money order upon our substantial completion of the work.  Payment is necessary prior to our release of reports or discussing our findings.  (See Typical Marine Survey Process)

Confidentiality - You own the information contained in your report.  We are not at liberty to release your report to anyone but the Client of Record and others you designate.

Please take a moment to visit the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyor's website to learn more about hiring a qualified Marine Surveyor in your area!
